JOHN JOSEPH |
Between 1997 and 2010, John Joseph presented keynote addresses, conferences and workshops sessions to more than 300,000 people representing more than 3,000 schools across 23 countries. Week after week, he facilitates full-day workshops for student groups where he challenges young people to learn about learning, behaviour and emotions. KERY O'NEILL |
An inspirational educator, Kery has fostered a love of learning in her students. With nearly 20 years’ experience teaching students of all ages, Kery has set the goals of Active Axons to excite, engage and empower for learning and for life. She has both “talked the talk” and “walked the walk” of neuroeducation in her classroom practice. Kery’s students experience “value adding” and an enhanced ability to apply their learning to their lives. Participants in the Active Axons programs are equally empowered and take away strategies to implement in their lives. |

JANE BARBOUR |
Jane is qualified with a Diploma of Teaching, Bachelor of Professional Studies Education and a Masters in Education specialising in Learning Difficulties and Behavioural Policy Development. Jane is currently completing a Gradaute Certificate in Early Childhood Education and is also a certified trainer with Focus Education. This rigorous certification process involved completing a number of training modules on brain based education. |
DEREK PUGH |
Derek Pugh is an experienced Principal and teacher in both Australian and International Schools. He now runs workshops in Brain Compatible Education for students, teachers, parents and corporate groups worldwide. Workshop participants discover: the latest in neuroscience and why knowledge of the brain is a powerful tool in education: the ‘SEWBaD model’ of preparation for learning; what brain ‘plasticity’ means to education; individual learning profiles and how to use them for effective learning and teaching; how to teach or learn efficiently; and models of brain operation and function. | |
