Recent brain research suggests that up to 40% of our students are likely to experience particular hurdles when faced with learning tasks (Jensen, 2000). This conference aims to build optimism and direction for working with such students. Highly practical in both diagnostic tools and teaching and learning strategies, the conference is packed with powerful techniques to empower your most difficult-to-reach learners.
'AN AMAZING WORKSHOP'
Journey into the Vulnerable Brain – a 1-day conference
• The most common hurdles to learning faced by students in our classes (eg attention deficit disorder, dyslexia, oppositional defiant disorder, depression, learned helplessness, memory deficits, nutritional deficits, sleep disorders ...)
• What the latest brain research is telling us about the various disorders
• Strategies for recognising learning impairments
• Practical strategies for helping students back onto the road to learning
success
The Vulnerable Brain program is based on latest research and aims to provide you with some specific tools for diagnosing and supporting students. We can further enhance your conference by providing a guest paediatrician (with a full-time consultancy practice) who has attended international conferences in the field of brain impairments and the implications for schooling. We also include a special eduction teacher with local and international assessment and teaching experience.
A 125-page workshop folder packed with checklists, resources, references, practical tools and workshop notes is supplied for each participant. Highly recommended.
This conference is available in a 1-day format. |
